The waiter asked for my wine preferences to which I said I'd like a chilled red (it was a 39C day). He then recommended a rose, which although made with red grapes, I'd have to say, isn't really a red at all. Even he conceded it was more like a white which wasn't what I asked for.When I told him that I'd like to select something else, he said that the wine he chose would get better. I felt pressured to accept his choice even though it wasn't what I wanted. To add to my discomfort, the waiter kept pulling down his mask to talk to us.We also had one food item, which I thought was small.Overall, didn't think the wine list, food, wine or service was great.
I was excited to visit The Clutch for the first time on a weekday and had made an online reservation for midday. However, when I arrived, the place was closed, despite the booking confirmation and all social media and Google stating that it was open at that time. I noticed two people inside who I suspect were employees; when I knocked on the door and showed them my reservation, they simply ducked out of sight and waved us away without any excuse or explanation. I will definitely not be returning.
