I called the store on a Friday afternoon after our son told us from the blue that he wanted a Lightning McQueen cake for his birthday in two days. I looked online and found Cold Stone had a list. I wasn't sure they could do that so short. I called the store and Abby answered and said she was not sure if she could do it by Sunday, but she would call the owner and see what he said. Abby was very pleasant and very helpful. Within 30 minutes I got a call from Kevin, the owner/manager I think and he said they really wanted to help us and get it done. He had already searched online and found the cake funnel I could order and said I would get it faster than he could through his supplier. He said they would make the cake and it would be ready until Sunday and then I can put the cars on the top itself (which was super simple and I was totally fine with). I took the cake and it was perfect and we really enjoyed it. The employee who was there was super friendly and helpful. This was my first time to order a cake from Cold Stone and the experience could not have been better. I had not expected this to be done with our very late communication to her, but it was incredible how they called me immediately and said they wanted to do everything to do it for me. We will definitely get another cake from them soon and appreciate the great customer service they provided.
This is my favorite cold stone in STL. I drove from Alton, IL because I know I will get excellent portions and excellent service in a clean business. Telephone customer service is also phenomenal. Only the thing is, sticky floors in the rest. Otherwise, my favorite place.
