Comet Burgers is one of my favorite diners to go to in Royal Oak. I really like the 80's diner vibe in the atmosphere and reinforced with the long bar that stretches from one end of the restaurant to the other. My order included the Jalapeño Peppers along with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I have a special type of weakness for deep fired jalapeño peppers stuffed with cream cheese. The first thing that we noticed about this place was how clean it was. We got sliders. My boyfriend got the cornbeef sliders. (He gives em 6.5/10) I got the regular cheeseburger sliders, and I'd give em 7/10. The fries are some of the best I've ever had. 10/10. The oreo cookie shake, my bf said was 9/10.. I say 10/10. Best shake I've tasted, and I love that they give you the extra in a separate container! This place is vibrant and cozy, the prices aren't bad and the staff are all smiles and good moods. For all of that, we will be back!
This is a great little hole in the wall burger joint! They make the best sliders I have had in a long time and the seasoned waffle fries were both delicious! The way we found this place was looking for a quick bite to eat before going to a comedy show. It was a Friday night with less than a half-hour to showtime. We were greeted right away got a seat at the bar and ordered within minutes. I would recommend this place for good food with quick service!
The food was amazing! My husband tried te egg rolls, they were so good! The corned beef egg roll is a must try! I had a patty melt, which was perfectly crisp, cheesy, and NOT greasy. My kid raved about her cheeseburger and ate every bite! Our server, Katy, was friendly and patient with the kiddos. If your in Royal Oak, stop in for a burger and shake! Super cute 'lunch car ' decor, counter service or 2 top seating, clean bathrooms.

Stopped in before a show. This is very cool retro restaurant. They have awesome milkshakes, great sliders and fries. They also serve a good variety of sandwiches. They offer a number of different types of fries. Our food was served up fast and there was nothing left once we were done (it was good). They don't have tables that seat more than a few people, so we ate at the counter. If you are in the area, stop in.
The food was GREAT, the lady taking care of us was on her phone playing videos loud as hell, but, the burgers made up for it. Imagine a burger between two clouds, that was the damn bun!!!! I hurt myself eating 2 burgers and my fries! But, but .... They have PEPSI!!! I hate that Coke is a default at most places, that made my meal! Thanks
One of the best chicken cheese stake I had. Perfect portion of chicken and bread. I felt that onion and pepper was bit less. It tasted fresh. I also loved their Oreo desert. Food was priced right and service was friendly and prompt. I would recommend this for cheese steak.
This retro place hits all the high notes. It’s supposed to be a greasy spoon but nothing was very greasy and that translated to a good night of sleep. The servers were helpful and friendly and the place looked clean and had nostalgia for a time gone by.

I love eating here! Ever since their renovation, the interior looks clean and well maintained. The food comes out quick and it’s always hot. This is one of my favorite places in downtown Royal Oak!
Stopped in here for the first time in many years. Still the same great burgers but with a whole new atmosphere! The remodel looks awesome. I’m glad they’re still open and would highly recommend!
