we ate here today as a group of adults and children. the food was excellent, really good quality cooked food. the owners and all the “pear” we met were so friendly, polite and helpful and great with the children on the...table eating came about minutes from us order and was hot steaming! the dining room was also very warm and cozy, despite the terrible wind and rain outside. as vegetarian I always care to make a fry and to serve the same old dry nut roast, but today it was inconvenient. full taste and also enjoyed by the carnivores! I also had my own part of the vegetarian heavy pork and bark got big thumbs from the rest of the party, and all the food was away at the end of the meal. Many large portions, byob, but they also have some drinks on offer both alcoholic and no alcoholic. we had a taste for everyone, everyone as good as the next. we have lived almost a year in ilfracombe and that was our first visit, but not our last! (there is no sign for the farm, but trust her bauch (and follow her nase) on the road past chambercombe manor and they will come before the farm
A rural lane, albeit only a short distance from the town, brings you to the farm. of us dined there on a Sunday afternoon in nearly December. Everything about the meal was great, food, staff , choice and all at a very reasonable price....The best thing, however, was, for want of a better word, the ambience. It was so relaxed, pleasant and unhurried and put me in the mind of village restaurants my family and I used to visit in the hills around Madrid. while we were living there. So very un-English and a pure joy just to be in such a place. A marvellous experience provided by brilliant people.
lush sunday, as always. excellent roast quality, tasty bark and truthahn, with all circumcisions and lots of everything. great, relaxed atmosphere. martin and lisa and the whole family serve are beautiful and take them significantly great pride and joy to give everyone a wonderful experience. my favourite place for Sunday dinner.
