The food in Coogee Bay is a disgrace to the actual pub. Every time I eat here the food is so so disappointing and the worst of any pub in the Eastern Suburbs!!! Who is the head chef as it’s been the same **** for...2 years now and they should be sacked. People around us all comment the same...Today’s episode was completely cold chips, mushroom sauce instead of Pepper that was asked for and calamari that was not cooked correctly and completely chewy.... Go to the Royal at Randwick, Maroubra Bay, Legions, Pavilion.... the list goes on if you want good food. Do NOT eat here. Drinks only. Management you cannot be that naive that you think what comes out of the kitchen it good?? Test try the pubs...
Warm oysters??? And no compensation, except for a meal replacement which was (photographed) beetroot and goats cheese salad on old ice berg. Mezze plate for $25, 3 dips that are equivalent to Coles brand. They take no pride in what they are doing unless its masked by the deep fryer. It's just as expensive as coogee pavilion and now that they have such strong competition and I don't why they are producing well below average food. Avoid this place like the plague and pay the extra $1 per meal for coogee pavilion. The least they could have done was supply a side of pita bread to make up for the poor quality - but that never came.
Really good food it was a Monday night so we went for the special main meal plus a drink for 25 dollars.My steak was excellent and so was my friends pork with a glass of house wine which was good.You order at the counter get given a number and the wait at your table to have your food thrown at you by the waitress.I also object to waiting staff leaning over you to remove glasses and plates before everyone has finished, no eye contact or conversation.We have found most serving staff in Oz so friendly and helpful this was a bit of a shock, please trIn your staff
Not sure whether is was some weird licensing thing, but came here to watch the rugby and they wouldn’t put it on in a sports bar!? While I get they had a ‘fan zone’ set up nearby inside the night club, it’s pretty average in...there, dark, stale and cold. Sports bar would’ve been perfect to watch, ended up leaving and watching the whole thing a mates place nearby which was a lot better.

Fantastic food and choices of beers. Right across the road from the beach. Has nice terrace at the front if u still want to be in the heat.
one of the busiest places that Bondi/coogee wake up on a Sunday! to be the place and always is good during events like sport events.
Perfect place to catch up with friends. There’s some live music during weekends as well. Nice assortment of beers. Great snacks
