Cooper's On 5th

During a busy lunch hour our service was very polite and I could say my waiter worked hard to ensure that all the tables he was responsible were satisfied. My friend and I shared a wonderful appetizer the egg rolls du Jour were a honey/Siracha chicken combo. They had a little more sauce, but as a whole amazing! Our lunches were right, my friend had the meat she really loved, and I had the 1/2 sandwich of the day (Roast beef and provolone with a kind of delicious sauce) and a house salad. The salad was full and green and had many fresh products. They also have quality ranch . Overall we were in and out in a little over an hour and it was very full and delicious at a really good price for the quality of food and service we received! I'm back! Has a touch of old school vibe, but without the stuffiness, and with a touch of modern casual. 90s 2000s alternative skirt played in what else could feel like an old very small steakhouse pub. DEFINITELY get the daily egg roll special, which are not Chinese egg rolls, but random, fun, flavors. For example, this week had shrimps and casting egg rolls during the Mardi Gras Timing. The short rib speciality dinner was delicious, melt in your mouth. Cocktails were all solid. Server was very nice, although not the most attentive during our visit. The bread pudding was very good I had better, but this one was up there.

Delicious dinner in a picturesque restaurant. I followed the advice of other reviewers and booked a reservation before the time. I highly recommend this because the restaurant is not very large. We had the steak deburgo (a local specialty) and the short ribs. Both tasted amazing! I also recommend over the street to Winchester Public House after dinner for some delicious cocktails.

They had a chef's special of loaded fries with carne asada. It was one of the best appetizers I have eaten in my life. My husband's junction burger has inspired me to get it the next time we come to Des Moines. This place is amazing. We will be back every time we are in the area.

Delicious food, very friendly and fast service. Cosy bar ambience. The meat we had was one of the best I ever had. Beverages were fine, could be stronger.. But this is a personal preference. Will definitely be back regularly.
