Fantastic Seafood!! After being disappointed at many different restaurants in Charleston closing early, I had almost lost hope with finding a good place to eat on our vacation. We showed up at 8pm on a Friday night. Our server, Amber was friendly and happily helped us choose great options that my son could eat who has a shellfish allergy. Our dinner came to the table quickly and piping hot! Our orders were accurate, our cocktails were strong and tasty and the shrimp and crablegs were AMAZING. Everything was seasoned like it should be, all was fresh and the temperature was hot. These people know how to make seafood!! We left full and satisfied. We decided to give this restaurant a try because it was further out of town and traffic was SO bad, we couldn’t get back into town if we tried. We walked in at about 4:15pm and we’re seated immediately! Our dinner didn’t take too long to prepare, and when we got our meal, we were so excited! I ordered the seafood scampi and it was my favorite meal during our entire trip!! He ordered a crab cake sandwich, I believe. It was HEAVENLY!! Our waitress was very friendly! We split the pecan pie with butter pecan ice cream and it was very, very good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Charleston!

Well... It wasn't bad, but I will never intentionally visit this restaurant again. The server was NOT friendly. The food was hot. But, it wasn't that good ole' low country seafood that you love and expect. My entrée, crab stuffed flounder, red rice and greens, was NOT the best. It tasted more like it was from a chain restaurant, reheated and/or cooked by folks from somewhere other than SC. I heard other Crab Shacks are much better. And, I certainly hope they are better, because the one on Dorchester Road is not worth the price or stopping for a meal.

The “Double D” BBQ Shrimp and Crab Burger is great!!! After swimming at Folly Beach, I was looking around for a nice place to eat. I’ve been wanting to try crab but I also wanted a juicy burger at the same time and thankfully, I got BOTH! This burger was super good and it came with a heaping pile of fries on the side!! I got to sit outside and talk with the local travelers visiting Folly Beach too which was great : Awesome place to eat if you’re in town!
I have absolutely thrilled this place. my brother suggested dinner there and I'm glad we did. we loved the bucket idea in the middle of the table. it wasn't so creepy to eat crab legs. the staff was very polite and friendly and eating was amazing! it was not very busy for a Sunday afternoon afternoon and it was perfect!

This was our first time eating here. Wow! My husband had raw oysters and the grilled seafood plater. I had the shrimp scampi. The picture shows how much I had left over to take home. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.

I love this place! I don't like very much here because I'm not important for most seafood, but fried green tomatoes are good, the hush weep are good, and the burger is good. I love the atmosphere and smell.
amazing eating and service. we ordered the raw oysters, mosquitoes and hot **** dips (that was the highlight! we had kelsey as server and she was great! can not wait to go back!
