When he asked for my drink order he was werided out that I asked for water, A unviersal beverage. Then when he asked Are you ready to order? I replied I think I am and he replied with What Hun? You need to either be ready to order or tell me you need more time. I felt so uncomfotable. The only nice person was the hostess in the front, As for the food it was MID. They only have a one page menu and just about everything on it is fantastic. Avoid the chicken pot pie (of all the dishes I’ve tried this is one I’ll NEVER get again. This time the shrimp cargot was good- just not as good as usual. The people I was with enjoyed it (but this was their first time having it). Don’t get me wrong, it was good! Just not as good as usual. The smoked salmon is amazing. The crab cakes are very flavorful. My favorite appetizer is the fiesta egg rolls (excellent). A great place for a night out on the town. All the staff we encountered with were all incredibly professional and attentive ? huge shout out to everyone. We went for dinner and the interior had a very romantic ambience. The menu wasn?t too terribly long and all the items we received tasted great and the portions were quite generous (we were genuinely beginning to feel full after the two appetizers we ordered). Their shoestring fries were very thin and crunchy ? in a good way.
Their house salad with the cornbread croutons is delicious. Consistent service. Our waitress was cordial....could have been a little nicer but it just may have been her personality. Other than that she took care of us. This place punches way above its weight class. For the ambience and the unbelievable quality of the food, you absolutely cannot do better than this place. Every time we come to DC we visit this place and have never once been disappointed. Wait staff is always incredibly pleasant and attentive and the restrooms are immaculate.
