Were seated immediately, took a few minutes for the server to come by and ask about tea/coffee order. To be fair, they may have been a little short staffed (note this was about 12:15 pm) and it wasn't a very long wait. Unfortunately, the server got half that wrong. the menus are encased in plastic which makes it difficult to read (but I understand, they are easier to keep clean). Lots of eggs, omelettes etc. My omelette was very good, too large though. Potatoes were tasty and the fruit was generous and nice touch. As a general commentary about Cora's and other similar places why not offer a 1 egg or 2 egg smaller option (available for the eggs Benedict but not for any other menu choices)? So...
We visited here one week day morning for breakfast. We did the hand sanitizer thing and waited for someone to take us to a table. There were only a few people there so it was not busy. A gentleman gruffly greeted us and took us to a table and threw the menus on the table. Didn't even say as much as hello or good morning. This was going to be a good experience !!!! Anyway a server, named Laura, appeared and asked us if we wanted coffee. She brought the coffee and was very friendly; took our orders and soon the food appeared. Every time I come here, I feel disgusting after. The service has never been great. The last time we visited, we stood in line at the door for a really long time waiting to get in. When we finally got to the man who was checking ID's and proof of vaccination, he took our phones right out of our hands to check. He was extremely hostile and made us feel like an inconvenience. He grabbed our unwrapped forks and knives with his bare hands as he was leading us to our table. When we got to our table, he tossed them in front of us, dropped our menus on the table, and walked away. It was extremely upsetting and we decided to leave. Will not be returning.
The price to live here is not worth the scenery it is bregged up to be. Everything from food, to retail, to living is over priced. On top of dealing with simple people that have no clue from their ass to their head. You spend most of your morning and evenings smelling the local swage plant located smack dab in the middle. Every year they play off what a great place it is to live and cover up our problems a week before apple blossom with a code of patch and paint. I grew up here all my life and found if you are trying to build opportunity in your life, make this place one of your last stops in Canada.
Stood at the entrance for 10 mins. Nobody bothered to acknowledge we were there. Multiple people walked passed and when we made eye contact they just looked away. No hellos, no we will be right with you, just pretended like we were someone else’s issue. The last time this happened to me was also at a different Cora’s. First and last time for me.
This was lunch with our 6-year-old grandson. The waiter could not have been better and choose to interact nicely with our grandson and made him very happy. The meals were great. It is a place that serves breakfast and lunch. It is a great place if you want fruit as part of your meal. This is not a cheap place but good food.
