Exploring the outskirts of Leeds led me to discover the gem that is Corarima, a gluten free haven in Wakefield. As someone currently navigating a gluten free journey, stumbling upon this Abyssinian vegan/gluten free restaurant was a true delight. In the UK and especially certain areas it is very hard to have a new or unique dining experience. Corarima ticked both boxes for us. The chap at the front of house, who also owns the restaurant, is very welcoming and friendly. Certainly makes you feel at home. The menu can seem overwhelming if you haven’t eaten here before so we went for the combination meal for four. This is a mixture, not literally, of mains and the pulse dishes with the Injera pancake. Wow, what a find! Absolutely stunning food with the friendliest service. I previously only had Ethiopian food before in Brussels, which I really enjoyed, but rarely see available in the North of England. The food at Corarima blew my previous experiences out of the water... absolutely DIVINE. I will 100% be returning, I want to try everything on the menu! Lovely lovely people too, I felt so welcome and relaxed to dine there.

I typically don't write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this incredible restaurant. The food, all vegan with almost all options gluten-free, was truly delicious. The flax seed drink was a pleasant surprise! The owner's hospitality truly made the experience even better. If you find yourself in Wakefield or nearby, be sure to stop by this restaurant. Went here for my son’s 16th birthday. The food was amazing. We had the sharing platter plus a few sides, was authentic and so full of flavour. The staff so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely visit again. 100% recommend.  Updated from previous review on 2024-02-07

I have visited Corarima on multiple occasions and each time has been fantastic. The entire menu is dedicated to vegan and gluten-free options, and everything I have tried has been delicious. The combo dishes are particularly outstanding!

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and the hospitality is truly lovely. It is definitely worth a visit to Wakefield just for this experience! I am particularly obsessed with the injera and coffee pot.

Had a simply amazing meal here. We shared the mixed platter and every dish was a treat. Really encouraged by how well Abyssinian cuisine adapts to being plant based. A multitude of flavours, all of them delicious! Réservez une table maintenant
