We ordered a dessert then 10 mins later was told they never had it so we ordered another one. 5 mins later we were told they never had that either!!! We got told there was 3 options we picked the sundae ice cream but vegan. It arrived within 5 to 10 mins. It consisted of 3 small scoops of vegan ice cream with a small swirl of chocolate sauce. 2 of these cost us 11:25 we paid this for a sticky toffee pudding and apple crumble). The dessert we received was obviously made in seconds!!!! The dessert was in the day menu gir £2.25 per serving!!!We did complain to the manager but she said she was aware of it and had herself complained to marston ltd. We certainly will not visit again as waited over...
Very disappointing visit. Dropped in for Sunday lunch. Place was virtually empty. Wanted a pint of bitter, only to be told that they didn't have any bitters on (this is a pub/restaurant). Upon attempting to order Sunday lunch, we decided to take up the offer of extra meat, which listed turkey and beef as available,plus an extra Yorkshire pudding, for £2. Asked for turkey dinner, plus beef as extra. To be told no, you have to have the same meat . I.e. if it's a turkey dinner,you have to have extra turkey. Even though they have turkey and beef already cooked, no, the woman insisted you had to have same . We left. We won't be dropping in here again.
I visit this venue quite often with different friends as it has good parking, the staff are warm and friendly. An affordable and varied menu. I have also booked for Christmas Day for my husband and I this year. Parking: Large car park with disabled blue badge parking at the front of venue. There was no gammon and 1 portion of fish and chips on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered a medium steak, it came cremated. The chicken burger even a packet Rustlers is better, cowboy burger OK but very small, even the apple crumble was like porridge. The pub was basically empty but it still took an hour for food.Will not be returning. Price per person: £10–20

not long visited, service was very fast and waitress dani was very efficient and personal. comes back what we needed back then. visited with my father and had a beautiful fish n chips
