Cornerstone Cafe & Taphouse

hubby and i had been here last year, it was pretty good. we had a server, who took our order and explained different things....today me and three friends went there to celebrate one's BD....well, they have changed the table arrangements, and you have to go to the counter to order what you want. There was hardly anyone there so i said, hey, can i just ask you from here? The server said sure. I ordered wine, and it came promptly.....but i had some questions about the meals....we all lined up at the counter, my friends put in their order. i was the last, as i have special needs....there was nothing on the menu that i thought i could eat, except a crab cake, and perhaps the daily soup...the serv...

This is my second visit to the Cornerstone and the menu was even better this time with added selections. The 50/50 burger is one of the best I've had as I said last time and it was again. My gal had the grilled cheese with Caribbean chicken. Very tasty. The beer was making it all go down that much easier. I was however disappointed in the new service system of having to go to the counter and order food and drinks. Though I didn't mind and the food and drinks came in a quick manner, we did not have second drinks because it meant having to go to the bar again. The downside of this feature also cuts down on tips for staff because you pay for your order at the time you order at the counter and I...

Wasn't aware this place was new but OMG am I glad I walked in. Had a great atmosphere and everyone was friendly. Sat at the bar and first saw there was 14 beers on tap. I had a cider then a Hoyne ESB. Lovely beer. For dinner I had the 50/50 braised beef and regular beef burger with bacon, asiago cheese and a fantastic sauce on a brown bun. As I said, it was the best burger ever. Small salad with peanut dressing. This is a wonderful place.

I came here when it first opened and was left disappointed, I figured I would give it a second chance but sadly it was the same bland cuisine (if I can call this slop cuisine.) My springrolls were soggy and flavourless, my burger was well done to the point of being burnt and my friends meal wasn't any better. Disappointing to say the least. Réservez une table maintenant

Great music, open and colourful..superb service and e best ever lunch..grilled cheese with chutney, Rubinstein with red cabbage and salds and soup beyond belief. Beer selection from their own brewery was the finale..not to be missed restaurant on 5th. Ave..a tourist destination!

I only tried two mini burger, and it was so good. Finest ingredients, perfect combination! I wish i could stay more and try others. My favorite was the beef brie. And the dessert, the peanut pie was wonderful and too big but I kept it for the next day!

This is a great place for a an enjoyable meal and your favourite beverage. T food is reliably awesome, staff is great and selection of brews is amazing! The only down-side (if there is one) is their recent change to bar service.

Amazing food, we couldn't stop talking about how good it was! We had two daily specials. Blue cheese burger and shrimp and veggie quesadilla. YUM! Réservez une table maintenant
