El Hotel – Restaurante Cosme Palacio es uno de los lugares más recomendables de la Rioja Alavesa para disfrutar de una estancia en una de las zonas vinícolas más auténticas de España, ideal para los amantes del vino y del buen comer que busquen un destino con encanto. Se encuentra en Laguardia, una pequeña localidad medieval muy especial, a menos de 20 kilómetros de Logroño e incluida en la ruta del vino. Su legado histórico también merece mención: el Pórtico de Santa María de los Reyes o la Torre de Abacial son lugares de obligada visita, y un paseo por sus calles llenas de historia y las vistas de la comarca que se pueden disfrutar desde el parque son otros de sus grandes atractivos. Concretamente el hotel pertenece a Bodegas Palacio, una de las bodegas centenarias de la D.O. Ca. Rioja, con vinos de gran prestigio y reconocimiento, como Glorioso o Milflores. El hotel de 13 habitaciones es la opción perfecta para una estancia tranquila e íntima entre viñedos. Su suite Tempranillo es tremendamente acogedora y ofrece unas vistas preciosas. En su restaurante se pueden degustar las especialidades de la cocina riojana, productos de la tierra acompañados de los mejores vinos de la bodega. Hay propuestas buenísimas con el cordero, el bacalao o los pimientos del piquillo como protagonistas. El arroz meloso con gambas y bacalao, la carrillera de cerdo ibérico, el crujiente de morcilla o la ensalada de shitake con virutas de Mi – Cuit quitan el hipo. Sin duda lo mejor de la zona.

Nuestra estancia en esta hotel-bodega ha sido corta pero ha servido para tomar buena nota de un lugar al que volver. Todo el conjunto es maravilloso. Las habitanciones (trece en total) tienen nombre de uvas. Un precioso jardín de invierno nos sirvio para degustar el perfecto desayuno. Nos regalaron una botella de Palacio de Don Cosme a la llegada. La habitación con poco mobiliario pero de decoración exquisita, sin sobrecargas. Recomendable para ir en pareja. Está ubicado a las afueras De Laguardia.
