Arrived to a semi full restaurant. Waited at the til for several minutes whilst a barista named Liz, who had glanced in my direction and registered I was waiting, continued to ignore me and clean the steamer. When, after about 5 minutes, I interrupted her to ask if I could place an order, she snapped that she was cleaning the steamer and if it’s not clean I won’t be having a drink. After a few more minutes of vigorously clean the sparkly clean steamer Liz then miserably took my order. Signing off her abysmal customer service with one final act, after making the drinks, Liz left them on the side cooling down rather than to alert my friend and I, who had spent some time navigating the metropolis of sticky tables to find one solitary clean one, that they were ready. Regardless of the type of the establishment there should be a basic level of customer service (I.e. greeting the customer on arrival, apologising that there might be a wait, calling over one of your colleagues who were stood in the kitchen) provided. Costa West Brom failed in every area. Oh… to add… the drinks were average
