Went in at 3.55pm and took about 10 minutes to get served. Drinks were placed on a tray but the member of staff didn 't say anything. It would have been great if they said 'here you go! ' or just cracked a smile. It was challenging trying to find somewhere to sit. 5 tables already had chairs on top of them and all the available tables to sit at were dirty with cups and trays on them. Someone was sweeping the floor, making a big pile of dirt in the middle of the floor, but not clearing any tables. At one point, the sweeping brush was left in the middle of the floor along with the pile of dirt. My partner cleared a table for us to sit at by moving away the dirty cups already there. No-one came...
This is not a complaint about the staff. They are rushed off their feet it is a complaint about Costa who have one female toilet for a huge cafe. The toilet sink and floor were disgusting today. The sink needs a deep clean it has hair in the hole. The floor had obvious dirt that has been there a while l complained to the manager and she said she would get it cleaned now . Costa are cutting important areas all for the God of profit. I have just travelled 4000 miles through Spain and never saw a cafe with a dirtier toilet.
The staff at the restaurant were behaving in a childish and immature manner throughout our visit. The waitresses neglected to bring our drinks, causing our food to become cold by the time we were able to eat it. When our cold drinks finally arrived, they were served in to-go cups typically used for hot drinks, and one of them was only three-quarters full with cream on top. To make matters worse, other customers in line behind us were receiving their drinks before us. Overall, the service was poor.
Unfortunately today was not the best experience I've had at this particular Costa cafe. It appeared there were not enough staff on and therefore there was quite a wait to actually get the drinks. My skinny mocha was luke warm. My main disappointment however was that the toilet (Unisex was the only one open). There was no toilet paper available for at least 30 mins of our stay, and the hand dryer was out of operation with no hand towels. The staff were adequately friendly.

The friendly and welcoming staff got things off to a great start. The vegan bac'n breakfast bap with HP sauce was quite tasty but the star of the show was the BOSH! chocolate and pecan slice which was scrummy! It's great to see there are more choices for everyone who enjoys good food, including those people following a vegan way of life, vegetarians and others who are eating more plant based meals for the sake of the environment and other reasons.
Six people left while waiting in line! The wait was long and the service was slow. All the tables were dirty and not cleared. We ordered a KitKat hot chocolate but received a mocha KitKat instead, just like the person next to us. The entire operation is a disaster, as there are not enough staff or machines to handle the demand. I would not suggest going here.
Great park Newcastle store. Seating was disgusting. Material chairs were heavily stained, crumbs down the back of the chairs, dust. Needs a deep clean also Definitely hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Several Tables were messy with food when the store was quiet. Really disappointed not sure I would return its a shame.
I moved to lincoln just after Christmas I came to this Costa because there is free parking the staff here are so warm and friendly I have been here about a dozen times now and they are always the same great atmosphere and an excellent place to come and chill out I’m so lucky this is now my new “local” 11/10

This restaurant has terrible hours, closing early every night, especially on Fridays. The staff is still there, the signs are still out, and all the chairs are still set up. It's a disappointment for anyone looking to grab a meal. It seems like they don't care about their customers.
Called here today for drinks and cakes.. I had lemon tart and toast and jam..always tasty..coffees and teas all hot. This particular Costa was clean....my gripe with Costa is the painfully slow service..20 minutes we had to queue..quite ridiculous
