I have gone to various Costco locations for almost thirty years, and I am so appreciative of the Costco we have in Newmarket. Costco always does a terrific job of assuring that they carry only great quality merchandise, they offer very competitive prices, and they back up their merchandise with a solid guarantee. We have never had any trouble returning any item, for any reason, to Costco. Our family is quite health conscious, and we really appreciate how Costco is constantly bringing in more organic produce and grains. I used to think this restaurant was good, but the last time I went there to change my tires, they ended up breaking my keychain and tearing a button off my window switch panel. Now I can't open or close my window until I get the panel replaced. When I brought this up with the manager, Tyler, he told me to call my insurance company. The employees at this tire center behaved like animals. When Tyler started explaining the company policy, I interrupted him, incredulous that their policy was for workers to open my window. He advised me to finish listening to him before I could speak. He basically told me to call my insurance company if I thought there was any damage. How considerate, Tyler. Why...
Costco is good for many things but within the last few years their entire automotive service has been a major disappointment. The people that work there try to do their best but they are always super busy. As I write this review it's 4:15 PM on Thursday and I showed up at 12:30 for my 1:15 tire installation appointment. I was advised they were running 1/2 hour late. The bottom line is they are behind schedule because of lack of people and maybe they need 3 shifts instead of 2. I will seriously consider going elsewhere for faster more convenient service and pay a little more.
Arrived for a scheduled appointment to have ordered tires installed. 2 1/4 hours later i could leave. When i enquired after 1.5 hrs and mentioned that the time wait was rediculous i was told, its like going to the doctors, sometimes you need to wait They obviously overbook. They don 't value anyone 's time. Their comment was rude, condesending and lacking in their responsibility to customer service. And my story, while waiting in line, because they never answer their phone, was by far not the worst!
The restaurant always has long lines, which can be frustrating for customers looking to make a quick purchase. However, the positive aspects of the visit include the affordable prices for fries and hot dogs. This trip also serves as a great winter exercise, as the large size of the establishment requires a lot of walking to find everything. The staff is excellent as well.
