Unfortunately an underwhelming experience overall (3/5). Given the positive press and reviews, I was expecting so much more, however even though there were substantial negatives, the food is quite good. We had booked for Sunday lunch. Unwelcoming to family's. Kid-friendliness: Family of two adults and two children and we arrived at 5.50p.m on a Saturday evening and we're allowed to browse the menu order drinks and then told we couldn't order any food! The indoor dinning had possibly 20 empty tables and 15 outside tables all empty of customers. There was only two tables with customers, both elderly couples. They didn't want to service a family. This was our first visit to the restaurant, and it definitely won't be our last. We had a lovely meal with great service, and there was a nice selection of beer available as well. I would give the food and service both a rating of 5, and the atmosphere a rating of 4.

I didn't have any food, but I went for a drink and to listen to a local band playing in the back. It was a fantastic night. The price per person was between £1-£10. The service and atmosphere both scored a 5 out of 5.
