Cou Yon's Cajun B Q

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! It is an excellently run establishment, a hidden treasure , a cultural experience and a great place to eat all in one! We had a fish and shrimp basket that was delicious. The breading was crunchy and super flavorful without being greasy. I had cole slaw and the loaded potato casserole which surprisingly had brisket in it and was delicious. My daughters had a pulled pork sandwich which was equally delicious. To top it all off was the incredibly kind and welcoming staff. They helped us navigate the menu since it was our first time. Very disappointing past 5 visits. Been going there for over 10 years. I'm always waiting and having to ask where is food. Place and order for my wife and I. 15 minutes later she's almost done and mine just coming to table. Then today I got an attitude when I watched someone come in, order what I did and got theirs much faster. I asked about mine, mentioning I was here before that table, attitude. My potato wasn't very hot. I will stop going or recommending like I always have before.

It was by far the best, and most authentic BBQ I have EVER eaten, and the staff are definitely THE nicest I have ever met at a restaurant. The restrooms are super clean as well, and the water is filtered and does not taste like it came from a well. They also have a GIANT menu with seemingly endless dishes, and their proportions are great for the quality and price. Highly recommend this place, and be prepared for the best Barbecue and Seafood you will ever have!

It is one of my all-time favorite places located in Port Allen. Cou-yon's is well loved by many people. The parking lot was clean, the dining room was clean, and the food was on point . I ordered a loaded potato with moist brisket and a loaded potato with shrimp. My potato was so big, I have to save over half for the next day. The food is always good and hot. had the catfish couyon over dirty rice flavor was good but too much etouffe and was soupy I prefer it thicker if I was too order again I would request it on the side so I can pour my own ratio to rice to my liking have eaten here several times before and have no complaints was recommended to try this not sure I'll order this again but I'll definitely be back.. nobody's perfect

Food hit the spot, we picky eaters and everything was hitting like Ike and Tina we sat down and got real personal with that bbq potatoes with brisket and fish was str8 up I almost called Jesus and told him y’all sinnin in there …everything went that way

This place get a 9 out of ten only because the chicken was mid. But that sausage and turkey top top top notch. Sides was hitting also bake beans , dirty rice and potato casserole was next level. Definitely will be heading back to try the other items.
