Courtyard Cafe - Réservation de table

Stopped-in to try to find a good flat white in this town. My wife and I noticed this unassuming place from our car. We got in and the owner, Peter, was very welcoming and engaging (nice break from many places that are aloof). We explained that we were fussy about our coffee - not too hot, strong and no foam (hence the flat white). He then stated that he had learned to make proper coffee from an Aussie - excellent, for my wife is an Aussie who knows her coffee (well at least what she likes and doesn't). We sat at the front of the shop, though there's plenty of seating inside and in their beautiful courtyard. They also prepare nice sandwiches, and have beautiful pastries and other baked items....

We were on our way to Tofino (a long, hard drive) and decided to eat breakfast out. The Courtyard Cafe was suggested, and what a fantastically great idea. Starting with a warm and friendly greeting from the owners, we lit into the coffee, served in real mugs. This helped the decision-making on which crepes to order. Crepes are the house specialty. With a half-dozen types of fruit from which to choose and several different toppings (go for chocolate), we were set for a high-calorie jumpstart to the day. Anyone who serves me real whipped cream on my crepes gets an additional star for class. This is a cosy, local establishment. The owners know almost everyone by name and talk to them as friends...

We visit Victoria every Summer and make it a point to take the long drive up to Qualicum Beach to eat here. Peter and his wife are the owners and it is abundantly clear that they enjoy what they do and are very good at it. Crapes are one of the specialties. Wonderfully flavorful and still very light. They are open for breakfast and lunch only, although they don't close until five PM. This is a favorite of the locals and should not be missed if you are anywhere nearby. Will be back again next year for sure!

It's always so hard to find places to eat at when travelling and you have food allergies. The owner is celiac, so the whole menu is gluten free and they have vegan options.The crepes were good, gluten free and vegan with coconut milk whipping cream. I think the fruit was frozen, but still good. The crepe itself was soft, not crispy. The coffee is also good.Service is attentive.The back patio is nice, especially on a nice day. Excellent breakfast crepes here made fresh and good coffee. The owners were very friendly and very accommodating with gluten free options, almond milk, etc. The courtyard out back was so nice to sit in on a beautiful sunny morning.

We stopped for lunch and ordered soup and sandwiches followed by lemon meringue pie. One of us took the gluten free options. Both enjoyed an excellent lunch. Friendly service, great local personality.

We walked up the High Street and stumbled into this place. Its a nice, clean coffee shop with everything that you would want and expect of a coffee shop. Staff were friendly and helpful.

In the heart of Qualicum Beach this small but nice place that is ran by a Mom and Pa business, with fresh food and made there. Good service and friendly people couple that own the place. Réservez une table maintenant
