The restaurant had a very fancy atmosphere, and the clientele was dressed up, making us feel a bit out of place as we were the least dressed up (my son and I were headed to watch Scotland vs Norway, while my daughter had just finished her shift at the Pastie Emporium across the road). I was disappointed by my recent visit to Crabshakk. The prices were high considering the average quality of the food and overall experience. To make matters worse, the restaurant did not have their signature dish, crabs, available on the day of my visit. Additionally, Crabshakk requires customers to choose from set tip percentages, limiting their ability to tip according to their satisfaction. The atmosphere was unimpressive, with crowded seating and subpar service. The food was lacking in freshness and flavor, and the portions were surprisingly small. As a regular to the crabshakk we know what we are ordering before we go not this time, the monkfish scampi and wee fish supper have both been taken off the menu along with the sandwich they used to do and also no longer getting a piece of their homemade tablet with coffees. These changes left us paying the price for the fish supper and my husband leaving half of his so a waste of our money and food wastage for the restaurant. The scallops and crab cakes were still amazing
The food at this restaurant was incredibly tasty and the service was exceptional and attentive. However, I was quite surprised by the prices not including VAT, which was not displayed on the menu. This was a new experience for me and it was quite a shock when the bill arrived, especially considering the already high prices, particularly for drinks such as an £8.30 pint of beer.

Fantastic food and service. The dessert was one of the best I have ever eaten. We had cocktails, wine, staters, mains and dessert and every single thing was lovely. The setting was relaxed but service attentive. The dessert coconut mousse with pineapple salsa and passion fruit sorbet) was one of the best desserts I have ever had. A masterpiece. I can’t wait to go back.
Food was delicious and lovely but the unpleasant surprise came with the bill they added a 20% VAT charge. Apparently the menu prices do not include VAT. Not sure about the legality of displaying menu prices without VAT and not making it clear on the menu or when you order that menu prices do not include VAT.
Visited for first time and enjoyed it. Seated upstairs but despite this service was very good.Nicely cooked food and good choice of wine.
The staff, service and food were simply stunning, nothing was too much trouble and the flavours were phenomenal. A must visit in Glasgow

Charming little fish restaurant in the very busy West End. In a city that is teeming with food options, this place is a must visit.
Langoustines were very tasty. Some mussels weren’t edible but good overall. Service was great, the staff are very attentive.
