Creperie de la Source

The other day we had lunch with good friends at A la Source Restaurant in lovely Aubeterre sur Dronne, which recently introduced their great and very welcome new concept with a changing seasonal menu and new opening times. The limited menu has something for every taste bud and even has a good and delicious vegetarian option which is still very unusual in rural France. The new opening times are absolutely great: A la Source is open when nearly all other restaurants are closed, so a Sunday dinner or an evening out on Mondays are now an option. Parfait ! Rien à dire le plat « quiche spéciale » était parfaite, la salade était bonne et le prix plutôt correcte pour un restaurant de village touristique. Petit plus, les gérantes/serveuses parlent français et anglais et sont très accueillantes et serviables. Le dessert pavlova était délicieux et je recommande fortement ce dessert pas trop sucré ! On peut manger sur la terrasse avec une très belle vue sur la région et le village.

Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great views from the balcony and fantastic food. Can't ask for anything more.

Gorgous food, great service, and they do gluten free choices! I'm not used to having choices!!
