This restaurant is hands down the best in town, offering incredibly reasonable prices. You can't go wrong with their fish fry, featuring perfectly flaky cod and superb Lake Perch. We visit every Friday! Their all-day breakfast is fantastic, and I've tried almost everything on the menu—everything has been amazing, including the Reuben and the Philly cheesesteak. Hector is the best cook around, and Dawn, along with the rest of the staff, provides excellent service. You really should give this place a try; you won't be disappointed. We dropped by for brunch after our flight into MKE and had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we were seated right away in a charming dining room that felt like a cozy hometown spot. A friend and I enjoy discovering new breakfast spots on Saturday mornings, so we decided to try Crossroads. Interestingly, it had appeared under a different name during my initial search a couple of weeks ago. The food was quite good, featuring classic American cuisine. However, what impressed us even more than the food was the service. Our waitress was both attentive and friendly.
I requested a burger without cheese, but they included cheese anyway, and I had to scrape it off myself. I also got charged extra for onions, even though they are part of the Chicago burger I ordered. Instead of remaking my sandwich, the cook tried to remove the cheese. On a positive note, my husband enjoyed his breakfast without any issues.
The food here was outstanding! I especially loved the hash browns and the breakfast sandwich. However, I believe they should update their description of the pancakes to clarify that the fruit is served on top rather than mixed inside. That being said, the pancakes are large, fluffy, and absolutely delicious!
