We visited the restaurant to take advantage of the 50% off deal on burgers and pizzas. The burgers were great as always, and the vegetable supreme pizza was delicious, along with the pepperoni. The service was excellent, with polite and helpful staff who allowed us to bring our dog along. The location next to a park was very convenient. We also tried the carvery, but as a non-meat eater, I found the vegetable options to be lacking variety. The cauliflower cheese did not meet my expectations, possibly due to a change in the cheese used. I suggested adding a tray of roasted mixed vegetables or broccoli as alternatives. After hearing recommendations from a few people, we decided to try out this restaurant. The food was delicious with a variety of options to choose from. We appreciated the baby plate for 99p, catering to families with young children. However, we were disappointed with the portion sizes for the carvery we ordered at £15.99 each. The meat portions were very small for the price, only receiving 2 thin slices of meat. The quality of the meat was good but there was not enough of it. Additionally, there was an unfriendly older lady behind the bar who lacked basic customer service skills. She did not smile and seemed intimidating. It's great if you like that sort of thing. By which I mean a chain experience. Buffet breakfast, luke warm greasy bacon all stuck together, rubber eggs, stale coffee from an urn, one of those toasting machines you queue up for...etc. Clearly lots of people do because the place was heaving...with very uncouth types including one whose ringtone on his phone the c word being shouted at high volume and another who regarded cutlery as an optional extra.

I am thrilled to have found a place where I can bring my dog along when I dine. The food and service were both rated at 4 out of 5, while the atmosphere received a perfect score of 5.
