We had a fantastic experience at this downtown restaurant, sitting on the porch. Despite being busy, it didn't feel too crowded. We began with the fried green tomatoes topped with pork belly croutons - a must try, especially with the delicious honey glaze sauce. My choice of the Shrimp BLT, served with fries, was a hit. The tangy lettuce and tomato topping, along with the savory sauce on the shrimp, were perfectly balanced. The addition of pepper jack cheese on a lightly toasted sourdough bun was a delightful touch.
This brunch spot is fantastic! If you're in Charleston, make sure to stop by. The food is incredible and the staff is so friendly. We sampled a variety of dishes, all of which were amazing. The truffle fries were crispy and delicious, the truffle mushroom soup was a standout for mushroom lovers, and the shrimp BLT was good but we preferred the roast beef sandwich. In fact, it was the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had. Definitely recommend this place!
Dining at Cru Cafe was a fantastic experience. We specifically went there to try their macaroni, which had received rave reviews, and it did not disappoint. Along with the macaroni, we also ordered the fried green tomatoes, basil shrimp pasta, and seafood risotto, all of which were delicious and generously portioned. The only downside was that we had to sit outside due to the lack of available tables inside, and ended up getting bitten by mosquitoes.
A true Charleston experience. We waited about 45 minutes for a seat inside but it was well worth the wait. We could immediately tell by the homey atmosphere that we were in for a treat. I got the duck confit and it was one of the best meals I could remember having. It had a healthy, comforting taste with superb presentation. The rest of my party agreed it was a very memorable lunch.

Love the vibe! I?ve place is old fashioned and lovely, the service is great and the food is demurely on point. We had a duck confit that is very crispy and the calamari that is well mixed with the sesame oil and vegetables, the seasoning is great! Lastly, hands down to the mussels that I almost drank up the sauce with the shells, it?s a must-have

Had a great Lunch experience at the Cru Cafe! Sat on the porch and enjoyed the view and action on the street nearby. Every portion of my meal was excellent! Fried green tomatoes! Shrimp basket! And the Orange Sherbet Cake was the best cake I have had maybe ever!!!
One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. The experience is down-to-earth in a old Charleston home, but the flavors are out of this world. I got the steak and was not disappointed. From the appetizers, to the wine, to the entree?s, I was very pleased.

We LOVED every dish! It was the best Mac n Cheese we?ve ever had, and all the dishes were amazing. It was our favorite, and most memorable meal, out of a week of eating out in Charleston. Get reservations!
