I don't understand Crumble Top. I'd seen a lot of people posting about this place, so decided to try it. I have to say it was the worst crumble I've ever eaten. My dish felt like two tablespoons of tart stewed rhubarb and apple (good) that was cooked separately to being in the crumble, so not integrated at all. On top, there was an inch of super-dry oats, that as I mentioned didn't integrate with the fruit below. When you cook this dish at home, the moisture from the fruit actually interacts with the underside of the topping. When you whack it under a grill, it simply doesn't happen.

Je ne comprends pas la top en chantier. J'avais vu beaucoup de gens qui ont publié sur cet endroit, alors décidé de l'essayer. Je dois dire que c'est la pire crumble que j'ai jamais mangée. Mon assiette ressemblait à deux cuillères à soupe de tirue de rhubarbe grammée et de pomme (bien), cuit séparément pour être dans la crête, donc non intégrée. Au sommet, une douane était une avoine super sèche qui, comme je l'ai déjà mentionnée, n'étaient pas intégrées aux fruits ci-dessous. Si vous cuisinez ce plat à la maison, l'humidité des fruits interagit en réalité avec le bas de la couverture. Si vous écoutez sous un barbecue, cela n'arrive tout simplement pas. Douleur

The idea of this establishment really had me interested, so I decided to give it a go and get deliveroo on the case.
To be honest, Crumble Top seem to have put all their time into the branding and packaging of their goods. The box was lovely, well presented and clean with perfect little die cut slots for your chosen condiments. Unfortunately though, this is where the praise ends.
I can only assume that in an effort to recoup some of the money haemorrhaged on branding that the Crumble Top executives have decided to make all portion sizes ridiculously small and all prices ridiculously high.

This dessert bar is on King Street near Missenden Road. Their main offering are crumbles with a choice of topping, sauces, and ice cream. The service is super friendly and really nice. Order at the counter, make payment and if eating in, pick a table and they'll bring it out to you.
It was a great dessert to have as it was a cold evening and just the thing to warm you up. I had the Granny Smith & Cinnamon, Oats & Spice, Vanilla Custard, And Toasted Coconut Ice Cream. It was a wonderful combination and a pretty good version of apple crumble. The custard and ice cream brought in extra flavour and moisture to the dish.
Headed over to Crumble Top after dinner tonight, Interesting place where you design your own crumble from the menu and they make it right there for you.
Opted for the apple cinnamon with oat and spice crumble for the topping. Came out nice and fresh, apple cinnamon with oat and spice turned out to be a nice combination. Had a side of Belgium chocolate ice cream to finish the dish.

This place is awesome! So many different options to pick from! Love that you can customise your own crumble! There's something for everyone! Instagram worthy! Staff are really friendly and welcoming! 5 stars!
