I visited Crusen's on Friday and noticed that while the bar was packed, there were only a few tables occupied. The staff was very welcoming and attentive, particularly my server Austyn, who ensured I had everything I needed. My food arrived quickly, fresh and hot. The jalapeño caps made for a delicious appetizer, boasting a generous portion size, a crispy batter, and a flavorful southwestern sauce. The Gypsy (tenderloin) certainly met my expectations, featuring a large, tender cut of meat with a flaky batter and a good selection of toppings. I am disappointed with the decline of this restaurant. When I visited, the main bar and stage area were closed for maintenance. The bathroom had exposed ceiling tiles and a musty odor. Emily, the friendly bartender, was the only staff member on duty and did her best, but there were very limited food and drink options. This used to be my favorite spot, but I doubt I will come back. 8-13-24 Holy ! this place is great! All of their food is excellent! We had the brisket Route 29 sandwich Amazing! and the pulled pork Delicious! sandwich. Golden onion rings! The creamiest cole slaw we've ever had anywhere! The portion sizes are huge! The prices are very fair for the quality and quantity! Plenty of outdoor seating. Our first time here but definitely not our last!

Both the food and service earned a perfect rating of 5, while the atmosphere received a 4. I highly recommend trying the Crisco Chicken Sandwich, Brisket, and Pulled Pork.

She also came by to pick up our drinks for refills but left them at the bar without bringing them back to our table. We ended up having to track down our drinks ourselves and go to the bar to retrieve them. Overall, the food was not fresh and the prices seemed high for what we received. We definitely won’t be returning.
