On September 16th, 2023, I revisited this restaurant for lunch and was disappointed. The chicken skewers were overcooked and tough, and the peppers were also overdone, sticking to the skillet. Additionally, my grandson's bacon burger arrived without bacon and had mayo on it, despite our request for no mayo. The staff was friendly and apologized, but the food was subpar. The burger was overdone and the atmosphere was not helped by the loud football playing on the speaker. Overall, I would rate the food a 2, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. Recommended dishes include burgers, plates, and fish.
I stopped by for a quick meal and had no complaints at all. The staff was very friendly and the hot pub food was served quickly. The price per person was between £10–20. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 5. There was plenty of parking available, with free parking in the lot.

The beer at this restaurant is overpriced, so you would expect a good quality pint. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I should have been wary when I saw all the unfinished pints left behind by other customers.

The Cuckoo Oak has seen fantastic improvements in recent years. The food quality has greatly improved and is offered at a great price. The pub is clean and well-maintained.
I highly recommend the burger and fries at this restaurant. The prices are very affordable, ranging from £1 to £10 per person. The burgers are the recommended dish to try.
