I'd been looking forward going to Curry Leaf Cafe' all year as never got round to it. I'd had a look online at the menu a week before making the booking found the menu interesting varied. When arriving the vibe was all good but the menu had diminished by I'd say When I asked why many of the things weren't on there I was told it was a new xmas menu. The choice was limited compared to what I'd viewed only a week before. It wasn't like the menu had new things on, just less of what it had before, like the Lamb Shank for instance wasn't present. Overall, I think it was all a little over priced for the amount of choice etc. I'm not a big eater either, but at almost for small curry dishes some dips...
the curry leaf is a completely different experience with the normal curry. the restaurant is unique and has a wonderful, friendly ambiente. the service is attentive with good advice, if necessary, and considering that the restaurant was full! there was a birthday party from us, and we were very welcome diverse and interesting selection made on beer, and a menu that I like to choose at least dishes, the selection much easier. the portions are smaller than usual, but with more choice a main, a vegetable dish, various nibbles and sauces and dips and rice, of course. the whole experience is an attack on the sensual fabulous meal time around) and will be back.
We picked this restaurant because we had met one of the chefs when he worked in Tenterden. After some initial confusion over understanding the menu and how to order the evening turned into a great success. The food was some of the best Indian food that we have tasted. The presentation is unusual and much better than the normal presentation in Indian restaurants. The place was very busy so a very good atmosphere. The staff were very attentive. Couldn't ask for much more from a restaurant! We will certainly visit again when we are next in Brighton.
We had been looking forward to dinner at the Curry Leaf for some time and we were not disappointed at all. The menu is simple but the food delicious with good portions and for a very reasonable price. Servie was friendly and attentive when needed. I really have nothing bad to say about the place If I lived in Brighton I would be there every week!

We normally go to CLC for lunch but went in the evening this time and had an excellent meal. The menu is more limited but didn't concern us. The food was amazing as it always is. Great selection of wine and beer. It was really busy and I think they could have done with at least one more staff member as the service was slower than normal.
really vibrant restaurant on a Saturday night in Brighton. Loved the short menu as you know everything is fresh. good choices too if you want to avoid meat. food nicely presented and a refreshing change from the usual curry house. Good beer selections recommend house on-tap.
three of us tried the vegetarian thiali for the lunch last Thursday and all agreed that it really presents delicious and good. it was just the right amount for a lunch and had a nice selection of dressed. the brewdog punk ipa was also the perfect companion :
I was in curry leaf cafe to a series of occasions and was never disappointed. eating is fantastic, the atmosphere is dizzying, the staff is attentive, without being in their face and the selection of craft beer is excellent. we strongly recommend this place:

great eating here, many vegan options marked clearly. I loved the vegan chicken drumstick star, for the first time I had a peshawari naan even in years!
there is no great choice on the menu, but all I have tried was delicious and they can really taste the different flavors used.
