If you're in search of a great local coffee shop that isn’t part of a chain, you have to check out the Daily Grind. I moved out on my own almost two years ago, and despite living in the same county, I hadn’t really explored Hamilton or looked for coffee spots. After starting to travel as an adult, I realized that Hamilton doesn't have the same coffee shop scene as a bigger city like Des Moines. However, discovering the Daily Grind changed that for me. The atmosphere is welcoming, the freshly ground iced mocha is fantastic, and their signature BLT is simply delicious. My boyfriend and I go here almost everyday for smoothies and their turkey sandwich. Recently we tried their pizza and it was honestly one of the best pizzas we've ever had! Besides their delicious food, addictive smoothies, and their prices being reasonable on top of that, the staff are all very courteous, accomodating, and are just good natured, friendly people. Even though we mostly go through the drive thru, we always look forward to nice weather so we can enjoy our food and drink at their outside tables. Hands down one of my top favorite places to eat. I'd recommend this place to everyone I know
The service is very bad. I ordered a small milk in the drive thru at 7:05am on a Sunday, I was the only one there. I watched the lady pour my milk and sit it in front of the window and then finish her conversation. It took about 3 minutes for her to just hand me the milk. Then when I paid; the total was $1.75, I gave $2. She didn't even attempt to give my change, just said have a nice day and shut the window. Yeah, it was just a quarter but she could have asked.
If you haven't visited this place yet, what are you waiting for? They serve the best chai tea latte around! Be sure to try it with almond milk, whether you prefer it hot or cold. My kids absolutely love the smoothies and cream shakes, and everything on the food menu is a hit as well. Food was great and super cheap compared to everything else these days. Most food items were around $4-6 each. We got 2 smoothies, a personal pizza, chef salad, 2 cookies, meatball sub and fries all for $30. The sub was the best! One of the tables also has chess/ board games to play while you wait
Ordered a breakfast pizza with gravy for carry out of this nice little spot and they have a lot more than coffee and pastries ect. They offer multiple breakfast and lunch options with a drive thru as well as having some limited inside seating. Very friendly staff and prices are within reason!
