My wife and I decided to have a meal at Danby's in Munster to top off what had been a wonderful day. We ordered drinks and our food ... then sat and waited almost an hour for our meal ... a simple pizza ... and when it finally arrived the top was burnt, almost charred, to a hard crisp. Looked awful. Practically had to saw through it. This was a Sunday night and the restaurant was definitely not busy. The server tried to excuse things by saying that there was a run on take-out orders but she'd have the kitchen start another one for us. We waited again. After a while it felt like we were forgotten and I didn't feel like waiting around for ... well ... who knows how long. We paid for our drinks and left. When I told the server I was really disappointed she asked us if we might want a gift certificate for the future; by this point I didn't feel like accepting just to return for more of the same down the road. I paid for our drinks and left. Bad service from this kitchen and I think the server could have been a bit more attentive. Not a great end to our day.
Was on the roof strapping and getting it ready for a new steel roof and could nt resist the smell coming out of the exaust kitchen fan. We went in for lunch and was well worth the wait. Good food good people great atmosphere. Thats enough for me. Oh and free coffee too while we were working. A small village, friendly people, what more could you ask for. There are alot of sub contractors and buisness people that I noticed that stopped there for lunch.
