We took extreme caution not to choke on cinnamon when sampling the large cinnamon bun/loaf item that was a newly introduced product. Really nice experience here. I stopped for a late lunch, arriving around 1:30 pm on a Monday, so it wasn't especially busy. I ordered the buffet and everything was excellent. The server was very pleasant and efficient. She took my drink order right away and brought refills before my glass was half empty. She brought hot, fresh rolls, one whole wheat and one white. We came here mostly for the authentic experience and what we got was not good. We also stopped here because it was right off the main road, so easy to get to, and parking was a breeze in their huge, private lot. The place is huge (holding up to 1,100 people) and they have two sections, one for people who were doing the buffet, and the other for those ordering off the menu. We were undecided about buffet or sit down dining. The staff allowed us to look at buffet and the menu for sit down as well. Buffet looked good but we chose sit down. I had the creamed chicken over biscuits and mashed potatoes. I ordered the small portion, which was pretty big. The biscuits were delicious and fluffy. The mashed potatoes were great as well. BF had the same but with egg noodles and mashed potatoes. Noodles were great as well. We were served rolls, we only ate the whole wheat and took white with us. Overall, my experience was quite underwhelming. I didn’t try the buffet, so maybe that's better, but I ordered from the menu to go. I had a chicken salad sandwich on toasted wheat bread, accompanied by broasted potatoes. Unfortunately, it was just okay. The sandwich was small and not very filling, and I received only four potatoes, which felt a bit pricey for the amount of food. I was really disappointed. The restaurant has a very touristy vibe and there were plenty of things to look at. The staff member who assisted me was friendly and helpful, but overall, I just felt indifferent about the experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. We believe it is far superior to the Blue Gates buffet. The food is much tastier, the desserts are more delicious, and the overall cleanliness is impressive. The space is also more spacious, allowing for a more comfortable dining experience where you don't feel cramped or have people bumping into you as they go to the buffet or get up from their tables.

Amish owned and operated! Everything authentically country home style offerings. I inhaled my fried chicken and mashed potatoes with a Boston cream donut bigger than my head for dessert! My wife loved her chicken noodles over mash potatoes and my stepson devoured a huge cheeseburger with all the trimmings.For dessert both enjoyed donuts and we brought home a beautiful apple pie from their bakery!
