Our Great Uncles and Aunts from China had come to visit us. So, they had invited us to joined them to have dinner at Dayali Chinese Fine Cuisine which we never had heard of. We went and enjoyed their food - not overly excited with these kind of food. They had ordered 3 sets of Roasted Peking Ducks which they usually are fatty. They ordered mashed chinese yam with blueberry sauce, pan-fried chinese pancakes, steamed fish with ginger and green onions, sweet and sour pork ribs, deep fried calamari and many other Chinese Peking Cuisine which we find it delicious to eat but not as flavourful as we would imagined to be.Servers was polite, kind and attentive as we were very surprised to see it. We got the regular peking duck for $34. We didn't need all of the extras that comes with the premium version. I liked how crispy the skin was. The duck meat could have been more seasoned but we are not in Beijing. The sweet crispy shrimp was tasty bit a little spendy for $20. I really liked the stir fried spicy pork (thin pork belly) with peppers. That was very tasty!Do NOT order the fried pear shape with red bean thing. That was not good.The service could be better as it seems rushed. Waiters needs to be trained to put plates and dishes down gently. This is supposed to be a nice restaurant, not some hole in the wall.
We enjoyed the dining experience at the Dayali Restaurant as we had the friendly assistance of the hostess who helped with our menu choices. This is a very busy restaurant with families, couples and groups of young people. We arrived at 6pm and didn't have to wait to be seated, it got progressively busier after that. After receiving assistance navigating the menu we thoroughly enjoyed our meal which arrived hot and in generous portions. If you are adventurous do give it a try.
We know this is the place to go for Peking Duck and we loved it. The dumplings are a disappointment. We don't like to thick doughy wrap they use. Prefer a much thinner wrap so we can taste the filling rather than chewing through dough. We also had a few dishes to share, but the restaurant doesn't provide any serving spoons which is weird. You better like sharing germs with your dinner companions because the soup spoon you use to eat with will also be used for serving.

You will need reservation if you want to go on the weekends for dinner. Otherwise, you might need to wait hours before they have seats available. And make sure you reserve at least one week ahead. The roast duck is great, my kids love them. Other dishes, mostly so so. Not the best Chinese restaurant I had. Space is quite crowded too.
The place is small and crowded. Food was good but the customer service was poor. It was difficult to flag down a server for our bills and they forced us to pay an additional 12% tips per person when we asked to split the bills. Not a pleasant way to end our Chinese new year dinner.
We visited the restaurant for the 1st time and was very disappointed with the service. Whole staff was super rude and they don't look happy or want to work there. Food is so so.
