The terasse is situated on the Sarine, your basically on top of the river... great view to the Zaehringer and Berne brigde. I love their french fries, their Appenzeller Beer carte. People mainly come here for the meat and the Röschti-Pizza the fish is so so (go for something else than the fish). The younger lady who serves here has always been very friendly, memorizing my choices (i.e. the beers I like to drink), and always greets with a friendly smile and helps me with my favorite table at impossible full-house hours. Love this place/terasse in summer. Never come here in winter though...
the restaurant is located on the side of the river and has a great location. I would recommend a booking if they want a table outside. we have the hot stone steak that was excellent. beautifully presented and so delicious. with bierre blanc a little. expensive but the Swiss is a more expensive place the walk down the hill from the city to restaurant is not for the weak hearts, but if they are less in the location, the number 4 bus that holds outside. I hope they won't be disappointed. I wasn't.
Jedes mal wenn Freiburg besuche ist ein Besuch des Cafe de L`Ange ein Pflichtbesuch!Gemütliche unkomplizierte und authentische "Kneipenatmosphäre"!Im Sommer eine sehr schöne Terrasse am Fluss.Unbedingt Fondue Essen! Ist das Beste auf diesem Planeten und dies erst noch zu einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis.
Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt, aber direkt am Fluss Sarine am Fuss der Altstadt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Bei schönen Wetter kann man auf der Terrasse direkt über dem Fluss mit Blick auf die Altstadt eine feine Fondue (Hausmischung!) oder Fleisch auf dem heissen Stein geniessen.

Immer wieder gerne ins Ange. Essen ist super, am besten das Walliser Fleischfondue.Personal auch immer sehr Freundlich.Das Restaurant ist eher Alt aber hat dadurch sehr viel Charme. Preis-Leistung absolut in Ordnung.Gerne wiedet
Auf der kleinen Terrasse kann man wunderbar verweilen! Die Rösti war knusprig und lecker. Die Bedienung hat den Eindruck vermittelt gerne zu arbeiten, das hat uns gut gefallen. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant.
Speciality is Hot Rock Steak and it's great. Rosti was great too. Yes it's simple! But courteous friendly staff, nice cold beer and a cozy atmosphere make this a good choice in Fribourg.
Nice place, different choice in the menu, food was good, service ok (usually they are more friendly in Switzerland)
