Wow, wow, wow! Based just off Richmond high street, this boutique family run Italian deli takes you back to the heart of Sicily with its freshly made pasta's and chunky panini's. Run by a husband and wife, we got talking while looking at the options available and went down to see their kitchen (my family has been in the catering industry for decades) to a laboratory of Italian goodness. Deborah arrives at the shop before most have opened their eyes and creates half a dozen fresh pasta dishes covering different palates on a daily basis.... the definition of taking pride in your work. I have been going to this splendid eatery for many years now and have never been disappointed with the food nor the personal and interactive service. The food is homemade everyday, the pasta is divine , salads are scrumptious and the cakes the owner makes are to die for. The prices are very reasonable for the area and is ideal for a nice lunch the prices upstairs are more, naturally, because the portions are bigger and also the upstairs is fully serviced. Another thing that is not mentioned enough is how good the coffee here is if you can’t stop for the food you definitely should start getting your coffees here ! If your in Richmond and fancy a bite to eat try this lovely little cafe/deli. Serving home cooked hot/cold pasta dishes (your choice veggie and meat ones. Italian pastries (lemon sfogliatelle and cannoli to die for! and of course great coffee!. What I liked was the option to take home or eat in. We had brunch and then took home a pasta tea as we knew we were busy later, great! Also a great deli selection of wines, cheeses cakes etc. Now... the owners George and the lovely chef Deborah his wife (between George and I and another chap we decided ladies know best! what a lovely friendly funny couple....a perfect reason to return. We went to Debraggio’s to get a spot of lunch and oh my word incredible! Due to Covid, we had to get a takeaway and warm it up when we got home, but the quality certainly did not dip. The pasta dishes we tried were spectacular. The meatballs were seasoned to perfection and the truffle ravioli was to die for. The fried chicken was also beautifully seasoned and not too heavy or greasy. If you’re in the area and enjoy simple, delicious home cooked Italian, you HAVE to try this place. I have visited on a few occasions and have never been let down by the food or service. There is seating upstairs and a few seats by the window downstairs (which I prefer) Staff are friendly, polite and knowledgeable and the food is great. A lot of the authentic Italian ingredients produce used in their cooking are also available to buy in store. I will definitely return soon, yum yum
Had lunch, food looks amazing but becomes average after microwaving. The man who I presume is the owner was very rude when we very quietly asked for a breakdown of the bill. He did not answer quietly and was sarcastic in pointing out that the eat-in price was not the price displayed. £8 extra to eat by the window is steep.
Had lunch in this lovely restaurant run by a very friendly and apt couple. Food is authentic Italian with . We were 4 and enjoyed every minute of our visit including the recommended Nero davola.Cannoli and deserts to die for. Will definitely visit again when in Richmond.
Please sit, can I have some more?? Italian sausage and pasta with chilli (not too hot) Reminded me of when I had lunch in Lucca a couple of years ago
