Attended an evening Christmas Party at this restaurant, and I should have known when I walked in and saw no patrons, that this was not going to be as good as I'd been led to believe. This was a Saturday night so very unusual in Canberra. A banquet was ordered and the food took quite some time to start arriving. Each dish was delivered on it's own until the last one which had cold white rice with it. I recently attended a group lunch at this restaurant. All of our meals had been pre-ordered and sent to the restaurant the week before, so there were no surprises for the kitchen. While some people enjoyed their meals (it is Canberra, after all, and in Tuggeranong to boot), the service was incredibly slow. Three people who ordered nachos waited 40 minutes for their food, which arrived on cold plates. I opted for the beer-battered flathead with mash and veggies, as I had been disappointed by the quality of chips and salad in Canberra in the past. Attended a friends 30th at decadent and enjoyed every minute of it. All of the dishes were of a large variety and great quality- lamb cutlets, chicken schnitzel, calamari, assorted salads and garlic bread very tasty and plentiful. Staff were friendly and polite, going out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. A lovely peaceful place hidden away, the room was decorated beautifully and surprisingly spacious inside. Food, atmosphere, decor- this place ticks all the boxes. Will be booking this place for my next party.
With a name like Decadent you image something with a bit of class. How wrong was I. The food was lovely but the service was terrible. With a high tea you would expect endless tea/coffee flowing but it wasn't until we had eaten were we offered any hot drinks. A small cup of water with a liptons tea bag sitting in the saucer. You felt like you were imposing if you wanted a second cup. Help yourself hot drinks would have worked a lot better.

Decadent in Tuggeranong is a fantastic venue for hosting events. We had a big family gathering there in June 2016, and Di went above and beyond by serving dishes not listed on the menu. Although there were a couple of small issues, it was nobody's fault. The food was delicious and high-quality. Our guests were impressed by the restaurant's decor, and I believe many will be looking to book a function at Decadent in the near future.
Four adults visited for a weekend lunch. The venue does indeed look decadent and it looks like the owners have spent quite a bit on making sure the place looks good. The food was tasty and moderately priced. The menu has an all day breakfast, lunch options and dinner options and best classified as modern Australian. The service was very good, friendly and attentive. We are considering going back for dinner in the near future.
It's hard to write a nice thing about this place. We are not fussy people, but there are some basics, that restaurant should abide by. Don't touch the food and don't run out of food and alcohol. In fact you shouldn't run out of anything. This place would have to be the worst restaurant in camberra. I'm not going to elaborate as I don't think they'll be open for much longer. Don't waste your time, or money.
We thought this restaurant was perfect for a dinner date for two. It was a quiet evening, allowing us to appreciate the ambiance and the attentive service. The steak was cooked perfectly, as were the vegetables. Our only criticism was that the wine selection was slightly limited, but we believe that will improve as the restaurant becomes more popular and busy.

We regularly come here for brunch on a Saturday mainly because of its lovely ambiance and great coffee. We have tried many items on the menu, serving size is very generous and everything is presented well and tastes wonderful. My particular favourite is the French toast with smoke salmon...yum! Truly a hidden gem in Tuggeranong! Would definitely recommend.
