I spent just over a week in Hobart during Dark Mofo, visiting nearly every brewpub and craft beer bar in the city and beyond—including Brewlab to the north, Last Rites to the east, Preachers to the south, and even the elusive Captain Blighs in North Hobart. Out of all these places, Deep South Brewing Co. stood out with some of my favorite beers. I tried their XPA and Sharksjaw IPA, and both were outstanding. While I enjoyed good food and interesting drinks elsewhere, Deep South was the only spot where I consistently had two or more wow-worthy beers.
