Deer Park Club - Réservation de table

This was a last minute choice, just a spur of the moment choice without any research before we went. This venue is quite large, it consists of a large bistro, gaming room, sports bar, outdoor area and various other areas. Whist it is a members club, all guests are welcome. So to bistro, spacious & comfortable, which can accommodate a couple to mid size groups. We ordered a Asian platter as our starter, good array of assorted fried goodies, this turn out to be a very good choice. Next I had the Beef & Guinness pie and my wife had Parmigiana. We dined here for Saturday lunch. The dining area is huge and characterless with large screens for compulsive gamblers.The menu is wide-ranging and rather expensive. A roast of the day was $16.90 with soup and dessert.I chose a pasta with chorizo and chilli. Big mistake! The chilli came from a sweet chilli sauce - truly dreadful. Others chose the dry roast which was equally unimpressive. Wine offerings were varied and fairly pricey. Dress code is very relaxed, with some diners arriving in gardening clobber.I'd suggest travelling a little further to Deer Park Village restaurant strip, unless the pokies will cheer your spirits after a pretty boring table experience.

Called in on my way home from visiting a friend in the local hospital, too tired to cook and really hungry so we went and happened to be a Wednesday night $12 parma's what a joy. I had a Texan Parma and the darl had stir fried noodles. Well low and behold food was appetising, fresh, tasty & there was lots of it. Staff are really friendly, helpful but be warned that on a Wednesday it's packed out so consider booking. So after settling the bill for $33.50 for a main each and a large BLL each it's excellent value and you certainly won't feel hungry for a while.

We had a booking or 9, when I called to change the number to 13 I couldn't as I was told they were all booked. The lady on the phone was quite rude. So the other guests luckily were able to still dine in the sports bar before an event where we could be together as a group. They only provided us with 8 chairs at our table. Had a family 21st birthday lunch at the Deer Park Club. Everyone had a wonderful meal. No complaints. Staff very helpful.
