I was a bit let down by the look and atmosphere of Defiant Brewing Co., but the beer and service more than made up for it! When I first pulled into the parking lot, it seemed closed and a little sketchy, but I decided to give it a shot. I’m glad I did because after walking through a dim corridor, I found a spacious area with a bar on one side and lots of seating. The bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable, recommending several beers and letting me sample them until I found one I liked. The food choices didn’t impress me much, but I ordered some chips and salsa while enjoying a few more beers and finishing up some work.
I love this brewery so much. The place is really big when you walk in that is the main area you go up to the counter to order and if you need samples they provide you with some which is really nice. The prices are great. If you walk towards the backthere?s a huge place to sit and eat and also sometimes they have a band playing which is very nice as well. The great thingabout this place is that they?re not overly crowded lotta times so it?s very nice to go with your friends and be able to talkand mingle and relax. The beers are so good and amazing. I?d recommend this place to anyone! Great place to go to any day of theweek.
This place is really a treasure. Since many breweries are limited to very few types of beer, Defiant goes against grain and offers many. It's delicious. A recent visit to the xmas eve had tried us Stouts, Christmas ales, Oktoberfest, Belgium three times and more. While I enjoy everything they have to offer in BBQ, their smoked wings stand out most. You're just the best wings I've ever had. I sound like a fan boy because I really am. The hotel is located right on Pearl River Train Station, making a day trip to Defiant from NYC a no-brainer.
I visited Pearl River to check out the brewery and tried their Christmas ale, which was quite enjoyable. Being a smokehouse, they offer a tasty variety of dishes, including some vegetarian options. However, parking can be a bit challenging. If you're open to public transportation, it's conveniently located right next to the Pearl River train station.

Decor is beautiful and space is endless... said that service was not friendly or friendly... Beverages were moderate and food was not good... it was not warm and tasty as if it cooked days before... No one checked us during our meal when they had to fight with friends... would not recommend and will not return!
4 stars primarily for the food. The portions are great and the ribs were awesome in my opinion. Atmosphere is good, lots of space so finding seating wasn't hard. Unfortunately I'd give it a 3.5 for beer, while it isn't necessarily bad, I found the flavours to be a subdued and lacking a little.
Never disappoints, BBQ is one of the best in America, North, South, East and West. Beer is great! Headless Horseman beer is in can now for the season, get it while you can! Great atmosphere, always jamming to classic rock, the soundtrack of my youth!
Nice selection on tap! Nice friendly atmosphere too! Tom(brewmaster), Sean, and Mike are always ready to Serve up some Delicious Beer to tantalize and intrigue your tastebuds Good barbecue ‘homemade style’ food.

The fun I had on a Thursday night. Came for Trivia and was excited to find out about her smokehouse, so I also tried some of the foods....
Great beer, good food. Always consistent. Festive place to enjoy an appointment evening! Love the atmosphere.
