Dined in on a weekend night. Tried making reservation but no one answered the phone. Plenty of parking in the strip mall lot. They were pretty busy so it took a while for the server to take our order but after that the service was good. The gyoza was very good. California roll was a 3/10 just not that fresh. The soup and salad were very good and the hibachi chicken was okay. They didn't have yummy sauce and the ginger sauce was just salad dressing. The food was okay and the service was good. We did see a staff member pull out a five gallon bucket from a fridge, put it in the floor, and ladle salad dressing into another container that was also on the floor. The hibachi was excellent as usual. I had filet and it was very fresh and tasty. Benny the hibachi chef is always friendly and consistently makes a great hibachi meal. The hostess/waitresses (Sophie and Helen) are very polite and attentive. Have been going to Gen for 15 years and have always had a great experience. On weekends it is best to make a reservation if you want to sit at the hibachi table.
