Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse Philadelphia

Although the food is very good our recent experience was not. For two days we received calls and messages confirming our reservation and reminding us of the proper dress code. We soon learned this would be a one-way relationship. We arrived on time to a packed lobby and checked in with our full party of four. We were told we would be seated “momentarily.” Twenty-five minutes later, we checked on our reservation and were brusquely told there were “3 ahead of us.” Three tables? Three parties of 4? Who knows? Next we were asked to stand on the staircase to wait. (We would have gone to the bar if we hadn’t been told we’d be seated “momentarily.” Another 20 minutes ticked by before we were finally seated, with no apology and no acknowledgment of the delay. Though we got a nice booth, the dining room is very tightly packed with tables that are much too close. After dealing with Center City gridlock, we had hoped for a pleasant experience once we arrived, but DelFrisco’s Double Eagle on this Saturday night felt like a factory. Will never return.

First time and may be the last. There is somewhat of a dress code that makes no sense. I saw people wearing Birkenstocks with dingy white ankle socks and shorts, body con see through dresses, leggings with midriff tops, slovenly worn jeans and faded stretched out shirts and other unappealing attire. Sneakers were even allowed. My friend wore black, non-sweatpants jogger style pants and was denied entry. They were not sweats or even sporty like. Good thing was that he lived down the street so he could go and change and make it back within minutes. The discretion was up to some dude at the door and of course he would allow “certain”, not just white, people in. So just based on this alone I will not return. If a dress code is in place, make it make sense and enforce it for everyone. The hostess, I forgot her name, was great! The server was ok. The food was just ok and the drinks were blah

Everything was great. Thanks to Nicholas and his team for their hospitality and attention. Steak and appetizers were delicious as usual and we will be back soon.

Amazing experience as always beings it was my birthday I was treated to a complimentary slice of cheesecake it was game changing

Every part of our meal and appetizers were delicious. Highly recommend the Butter Cake. See photo below. It was AMAZING
