I recently dined at a Mexican restaurant near my home and had a great experience. Their prices for popular Mexican dishes are much more affordable compared to those in California. However, I did find that the portion sizes were smaller than I expected. The restaurant itself is quite clean, and the menu offers a varied selection. While it lacks some of the traditional Mexican dishes you might find in Tijuana or San Diego, the food is still very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place if you live in Alabaster or are passing through and want to try an authentically traditional Mexican restaurant with delicious offerings. It's definitely worth a visit!
We usually hit Maya Sundays after church. The staff is so friendly. Food is always good and comes out quickly. I usually eat vegetarian at Mexican places and it has always been good here. I got the Tacos al Carbon Sunday and they were good enough tocompel me to write a review. It could use a little sprucing up with its outside signage. You can still read the Del Toro thatwas the previous restaurant in that spot. But this place is better than Del Toro was and that was my go-to spot for years.Definitely worth a try.
We stopped here on our way back to Indiana, and found this restaurant in a nondescript strip mall. The first thing that caught our attention was the friendly staff, who were very attentive. Our food arrived quickly, and it was delicious! I had the chicken fajitas, which were packed with great flavor. The margaritas were enjoyable, although they were served in a rocks glass, which is a bit unusual for a Mexican restaurant. The highlight of this place is definitely the exceptional service and tasty food!
I’m glad I discovered this place. Although their hours aren't the most convenient (they take a break between lunch and dinner), the food certainly makes up for it. The Chili Relleno was excellent, and the chips and salsa were delicious as well. Our waitress wasn't very attentive at first, but she did eventually come back to check on us. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely return!

A few months back this would have been a 5 as it was a favorite. We were a regular every week, often twice a week, doordash customer. Not anymore. Food comes overcooked and dried out from being put in the oven to melt the cheese and apparently forgotten. and now, on doordash, they don 't allow you to request special instructions like no cheese and that 's a dealbreaker for my daughter.
The food here is amazing! I really appreciate how fast and efficient the waitstaff is, always greeting guests with a friendly smile. I have a paprika allergy, but I love fajitas, and every time I order them without paprika, they turn out perfectly. Your margaritas are delightful, whether frozen or served on the rocks! The music is great, and I truly enjoy the decor inside.
We came in with a large group of around 25 people total at around 8:30pm and they handled us very well.... Service was good... Our waiter got our orders pretty quick and the kitchen got it out reasonably fast given our party size... Prices are average...Food was good... We will definitely consider them in the future!
