Just got done eating at this very interesting Chinese food restaurant. The ambience was quite interesting. Very open space, but still had a lot of tables and was quite quaint . The menu had a lot of very interesting dishes that you normally do not see at other Chinese Restaurants. For instance they sell a soap call Chicken Ginseng soup. The chicken fee and chicken they cooked in the soup was the Black Chicken. Very popular in Asian countries. Soup was very medicinal as I had a slight cold all week and this did the trick . This restaurant truly lives up to its name. It offers simple, no-frills Chinese comfort food at great prices. There’s a wide variety on the menu, although I didn’t spot the typical wonton. Every dish we tried was excellent, with not a single subpar option. Even the straightforward curry fish balls were tasty and full of flavor. The roast pork skin was crispy and not overly dry. The House Special Stir Fry vermicelli was spot on, and the beef chow fun was prepared with minimal oil, which I appreciated. We had a large party of 13. They allowed us to put two large tables together to accommodate our party. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed all the dishes. We ate family style. We had 6 dishes for our side of the table. We ordered a beef dish, chow mein, curry, baby bok choy with mushrooms, green beans and a whole chicken (soy chicken with ginger scallion sauce) everything was very flavorful. The curry came with paratha bread which was so good. The service was friendly and attentive. We had some leftovers. Would definitely return to try more dishes.
Who doesn't love DFC! It's nice to have a Hong Kong cafe around this area!! Avoids my trip to going all the way to San Gabriel Valley. Their breakfast are always something I crave. Preserved egg and pork and the dried vegetable with pork spare rib porridge are my go to! My husband loves the French toast! It is super thick and has peanut butter in the middle of their bread, served with butter and condensed milk. Minced pork with egg over rice is also a must try! Ask for extra spicy and they put a little more cupped up Thai chiles in there!

Breakfast is good, a big bowl of porridge and a sandwich for $15 is not bad as it is good enough for 2 people. And the food is good.But for lunch, it is expensive. We ordered 3 items, plus the 2 milk teas. Our total with tax and tips came us to be $72!! I thought it was bit much. The food for lunch was just average. Nothing special.The service, though, was good. Above average for a Hongkong style cafe. The men waiters were very attentive. They catered to your requests right away.
It was busy when I came for lunch around 1145 got my order around 1215 servers are nice and kept checking the kitchen on my order thinking I've waited to long but I understood how busy it was they also gave me water to drink quickly. I ordered the beef chow fun with the dark soy sauce it was around $18.56 it was good but the price was a shocker.
