Delicious House Restaurant

An interesting place to eat at from its unusually drab interior for a Chines restaurant to the quirky nature of the waiter however the dishes were well done and presented and full of flavour. Based just on cuisine and taste then this restaurant will definitely make the grade.We ordered several dishes including Garlic Pork (yum), Beef and vegetables and,Honey Chicken to mention a few. The dishes were all well prepared and cooked full of flavour. The amounts were adequate and did not disappoint. To top off the meal we had deep fried ice-cream which was an experience on its own with a lovely Flambé approach to the dessert. Have been a customer since the restaurant opened, have many fond memories from family celebrations. I ordered pick up today, to learn there are new owners, so I expected some changes, but boy big changes. 2 items on the chef specialty, have been family favourites,but sadly, they are not anymore. Honey Chilli Chicken and Delicious Chicken, are,far from their original recipe, they were originally crispy cooked chicken in their individual sauces and honey chilli chicken having vegetables who are also crisp. My wife and I have been visiting this restaurant since the late 1980's and we've never had a bad meal in all that time.Owned by the same family, the service is always prompt and efficient, some times just a little too prompt.In the time we've been eating here we've probably eaten just about every dish on the menu and tried the banquets as well and they are all delicious.My wife's favourite is the barbequed pork with plum sauce and mine is the Combination Curry, with a serve of special fried rice.The décor hasn't changed in all that time, but its traditional chinese and that's fine, it's all about the food for us.It's BYO or licensed and the wine per glass is reasonably priced.

We have lived in Deer Park for 28 years, as a boy growing up in nearby Sunshine, Delicious House was a place to go back then. Its as if its always been in Deer Park. We have had many meals there, Birthdays, Mothers Day, Anniversaries, and just good old "sick of cooking days". Its always been a great feed for the money, and now it seems the owner (Dad) is getter older and takes care of the take-w-way counter and his son, runs the restaurant. The food is simply amazing.We have been once before and the waiter was really friendly and made us comfortable. Unfortunately yesterday when my daughter and i had lunch the very same waiter came into work and forgot to leave his very bad mood vibe at home. Also on both occasions the older family member sits in the restaurant listening to the television which is very off putting. Food 10 out of 10 all other areas, remember you are running a business, not a charity!

I agree with the name, the food here is delicious. I had lunch here twice, once takeaway, once dine in. The table service was efficient and the food arrived within 10 minutes for the dine in experience. The Peking beef was excellent. The takeaway lunch special is good value and tasted great. I would eat here again.

The food was great. The servings were just right for the price. We'd come back again for both dine in or take away. However, the spring rolls were not that nice. The fried rice was awesome though.

Any excuse for Delicious House! Whole family came for Easter Sunday lunch. Food was great as always as well as the service. Was also there two nights ago! Réservez une table maintenant

The food is as the name refers delicious .We normally have a banquet for 2 which is very yummy and go ther on special occasions about 3 or 4 times a year

Lovely staff, food is Great, prices are reasonable, plate sizes are good. Peaking Steak is the way to go - YUM
