"This was a very nice casino in the past. We had not been there for a long time. It has completely changed. They might as well close this casino, as it was like a ghost town. The employees that we talked to agreed that it was much nicer in years past."

great amenities, and a wide selection of casino games made for an enjoyable stay at Delta Downs Casino in LA.The hotel rooms were spacious and well-designed, with comfortable beds and plenty of natural light. Everything was impeccably clean, and the modern decor added to the overall ambiance of the resort.The casino itself offered a diverse selection of games.I did come out even, so no complaintsBeyond the casino, there were plenty of other amenities to enjoy, including multiple restaurants and bars, a fitness center, and a beautiful pool area. The resort also had a convenient location easy access to I10Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Delta Downs Casino and would highly recommend it...
I have a love/hate relationship with this place... Of course I love it when I win, but then there's the other side of the coin I see waaaaaay too much, and that's the losing ?.. you would think my results on the floor would influence my opinion on the rooms, service, etc., but it doesn't. I have NEVER had bad service, a bad room, or a bad experience. My host, Lisa Shaheen, is the ABSOLUTE BEST ?? host they have. She goes above and beyond for all my requests, always visits me on the floor when she's there, and makes me feel like I'm not there to just lose money.
This was my first time staying overnight at this establishment. I encountered a problem with the initial room they assigned to me, but after reaching out to the front desk, they promptly provided me with a different room without any hassle, which I really appreciated. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the shower is fantastic. As for the casino itself, it wasn't very crowded, but unfortunately, I didn't win anything during my visit. Hopefully, I’ll have better luck next time!
Delta Downs is one of the first casinos you encounter when you cross over into Louisiana from Texas. If you are into slots, this is your place. Literally, that is all they have other than betting at the racetrack. I play table games, so this was not it for me. It is on the older side and just doesn't give me the vibes as some of the newer hip places on Lake Charles. For me, I will keep on driving past here and try my luck elsewhere. May not have won but enjoyed my stay.Also I accidentally left a shirt and blue jeans there. Called, spoke with housekeeping Supervisor Melody and Security Supervisor Amanda. Both ladies were very professional and courteous. They had my belongings and assured me they would be mailed to me.This is what I call great customer service by the Casino staff. One of the more reasons Delta Downs is my favorite place to visit.
A year ago I wrote a not so good review however after visiting recently, I am rating 5 stars!! Service was excellent, rooms clean, easy check-in/out and I love the new Modern design of the casino! Bell service was the best thanks to Cutter. He went above and beyond in assisting us with loading our luggage and mobility scooter. We had a great time and will be back soon! Keep up the good work Delta Downs!!!!
I had a very pleasant and enjoyable experience during my visit. The staff was friendly and attentive. My only minor concern was that the waitresses didn't seem to be nearby while I was playing, which meant if I wanted a soda or coffee, I had to step away from the machine. Since I was alone, there was no one to look after my machine. Overall, I'd rate the service as 3 out of 5.
Security was rude and arrogant. Not a place I recommend to others. Slots are beyond tight naskilla is better then here. Come to think of it most of the casinos I've been to are better then delta downs. There's no real comps or free play therefore no incentive to drive 2 hours to this place. My mother enjoys going to the casino a few times a year, and she really likes Delta Downs. She appreciates that the games are easy to understand, the food is good, and she gets to watch horse races. It's a fantastic casino, just a short drive from Houston. Notable highlight: horse racing!
