Ein warmer Montagabend im August. Man fuhr mit dem Rad in die beschauliche Universitätsstadt an der Queich um bei seinem Lieblingsitaliener in der Trappengasse „Sapori d’Italia“ Station zu machen. Dieser hatte leider aus familiären Gründen geschlossen, also musste der kulinarische Plan B herhalten. Der war gar nicht so leicht in die Tat umzusetzen, hatten doch die von uns präferierten Läden montags geschlossen.   Aus Plan B wurde spätestens dann Plan C, als wir auch im Restaurant „Fünf Bäuerlein“ keinen Platz fanden, da dort die restlichen freien Tische reserviert waren. the restaurant is very popular. you can eat and order here before place. because of various recommendations I ordered here two times to eat at home. what was delivered to me was very, very little at the first time, so I was not really fed with it. but it tasted very good. at the second time it was more (other dish,) however not particularly delicious, the pesto tasted not much better than that from the glass. it is worth trying out because you can sit here very nice and the prices are in order.

Ich war bereits mehrfach beim fliegenden Italiener in Landau essen und empfehle es gerne von Herzen weiter. Von den Vorspeisen über Pizza, Pasta bis zum Dessert alles sehr lecker und frisch. Hier schmeckt man ganz klar die Qualität und die Leidenschaft am Kochen. Die Servicekräfte sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Zur Info: inzwischen ist auch Kartenzahlung möglich. Fazit: Immer wieder einen Besuch wert! Réservez une table maintenant

The pizza is dry and the lady on the phone has repeatedly tried everything to tell me the pizza day (Wednesday) Only the pizzas on the map, we always renovate Wednesdays... Meanwhile I prefer to order elsewhere!
