Came here for dinner this week with 5 friends and had a lovely meal. The restaurant itself is well laid out, clean and has an attractive décor. The menu offers a good selection of dishes at reasonable prices – although the lighting was so dark that I needed the torch on my mobile to actually read it! The service was polite, attentive and friendly. All the food we had was excellent. We shared a selection of starters (taramasalata, hummus, cacik, falafel, courgette flower, halloumi and pitta bread) – have to say the falafel was one of the best I have ever had, moist, light and full of flavour and the fig jam that came with the halloumi was delicious. The food at Deraliye is delicious (although extremely expensive). Unfortunately it is let down by the attitude of the waiter who was unfriendly, unhelpful and arrogant throughout our visit. The music was so loud it was like being in a nightclub (at 7pm) and we politely asked him to turn it down very slightly as we were having to shout at each other to be heard. He was rude and dismissive and this attitude continued all evening which is extremely annoying, particularly when you consider the very high prices. Six of us were in our party-not one of us will ever return to Deraliye.
We were booked into this restaurant at 2.30pm yesterday, travelling from the Midlands to watch a concert. Have to say we were really looking forward to it, I would usually not write a review like this but at 13.49 with no contact our booking was cancelled online with no explanation leaving us to find somewhere else. Shame considering the food looks very nice generally the reviews are good. I wouldn't let this review put you off going but it was more a gentle reminder to the owners to perhaps be a little more considerate!
We came for lunch for a business meeting and would most definitely return again for dinner, this would be perfect for a date night. The interior decor is really special. The food was insane, shout out to the new olives. Amazing. We also absolutely loved our server Nancy, what a star. I would recommend the salmon and the calamari, chicken thighs were cooked perfectly too. Really nice place for visuals, service, and food. Thank you : Réservez une table maintenant
Really disappointing. The food was good, but very overpriced. However the service was appalling. Rude waiter who thought he was too good for us. Very arrogant and unpleasant. I was with a group of friends for a nice relaxing evening and to talk and catch up, however the music was so loud, we could hardly hear each other. We asked several times, if they could turn it down, but were refused. I definitely won't be returning.
I have visited this restaurant several times each time it’s been in a large group where we’ve either ordered a mess platter or individual meals. They are very accommodating despite being full to the brim. The portion sizes are plentiful, the food delicious the decor is simply stunning. I can’t wait to return feast again!
We, as a family, often eat at Deraliye; we believe they offer the best food in our local area. We find that the meat is of a very good fresh quality and of succulent flavour; But everythingelse on their Menu is as good and excellent. We do enjoy the food here all the time.
