We stumbled upon Desi Dhaba recently whilst waiting for an event further along on Flinders Street. The decor is rather quirky & kitschy but don't let that put you off. The customer service here is fantastic - fast, friendly & accurate. The food is very affordably priced and the menu caters well for vegetarians as well as meat eaters. Our meals arrived at our tasble very quickly and were hot, fresh & absolutely delicious. This is a great stop for authentic Indian cuisine at a great price!
I went with my family twice on this place . First time food was really nice and service was average on that time but we was happy. Just because of food we went last week and we ordered saag with roti , saag was really horrible. Rest of the food was average . Service was alright this time . I know they was busy but they need to maintain standard . NOT HAPPY
We have eaten here twice with our Indian friend who recommended this place.On both occasions the food has been fantastic, can't fault anything, all dishes where full of flavour and had nice heat to them.Highly recommend the chicken Tikka, Lamb Rogan Josh and the Paneer.We'll return next time we visit Melbourne!
Been there wid friends nd got served cold food in 5 minutes ordering iur mains after Entrees. Asked waitress to wait but she siad they r busy nd also asked them to change the food as that was not properly heated up but in vain Was let down totally. Less than 90 dollars for a family of four, with generous takeaway..2 butter chicken, 3 breads, salad, mixed tandoor, tikka. Attentive friendly smart staff. 5 stars
Loved the food. Ordered Tawa Istylish paneer and naan - loved the gravy. Ambience is also good - not proper dhaba kinda but resemblence to desi dhaba.
