Desi Dosa Madras Restaurant

Took my daughter and wife to the Desi Dosa for dinner last evening. Having been there many times before, we knew the dishes we would order.The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, but soon had a reasonable crowd. We ordered the dishes that we especially liked at this eatery. the meal included vegetable korma, curried lamb, butter chicken, garlic naan, and a cucumber salad. The food was up to expectations except for the stale cucumber salad which had seen better days. The service was amateurish with very little anticipation of needs. The meal was not an upbeat experience that it could have been if the service and attention to all aspects of a diners needs were anticipated.

Yummy south Indian fare at its best.Curries or dosas it's hard to choose.We had dosas, as usual ,and some of us weren't able to finish them. Portions are huge and refills of the sambar is free.For someone who hasn't tried this joint ---- you're totally missing a tasty meal

Free parking off Scott Road. Reasonably priced. Quality of food is OK. Plays old school music videos from Indian movies. Service is a bit too fast. We were half way through our starters and they came out with our mains.

Stumbled on this restaurant and took a chance. Wow, incredible food. Had Pondicherry dosa (had to google how to eat it ) and cauliflower "65" fritters. Excellent vegetarian options (about half the menu). Will be back. Réservez une table maintenant

I love this restaurant. Inside and out. Great service, great people and most importantly GREAT FOOD! This is my go to Dosa restaurant in Vancouver and surrounding areas and you will not regret eating here!!!

This place never disappoints. Been here a couple of times and unlike some places like Mayuri this place has only improved. Authentic flavours. Good portions. Coming back for more def

Best South Indian food i've had in the Lower Mainland. Chicken biryani, wada, dosa, sambhar are all excellent and authentic. Go for the food, not the atmosphere or service.

This is my second time here. I like south indian style fish. Should try dosas. I hardly eat south indian food but when it fish I like it a lot. Staff were friendly. Réservez une table maintenant

Had lunch with an associate and was pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of dishes on the menu. Onion dosa is what we ordered. DELICIOUS

Dosas are a delicious. Vada, idli, and south indian kothu parotta were really good. Will go back for sure.
