Woman referred to as doctor is very nasty, rude, and unapproachable. This is why its hard to support black business. I will never support that detox bar based on my experience with that unprofessional thug like woman. She was just rude to me upon entering the store after having to wait until after 10pm to get in contact with her. This was my second attempt to speak with her being she is always available so late. I’ve been here a couple of times and every time I go, the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. If you order something, they will give you a sample before to make sure you like what you’re leaving with. My dad and I went tonight in search of something healthy to eat at the late hour we were out. When we walked into the Detoxx Bar, the owner informed us that they were close to closing so they would not be able to make us any smoothies or juices but she asked us if we were hungry, I told her we were and she informed us they had food. The owner was incredibly rude and unprofessional during our visit. We were excited to try their juices, but right away, she called out my partner for supposedly not saying "good morning" or "happy Sunday." She escalated the situation unnecessarily by claiming she was just joking, which clearly wasn't the case. Then, she instructed her staff to add an extra shot of "calm down" to my boyfriend's drink, making us uncomfortable about how our order would be handled. Surely God has blessed this business! I've been to this location a number of times and am met with great couth and warmth. It's filled with a myriad of healthy options for just about anyone looking for a rejuvenating experience! Shaq is a phenomenal server and quite innovative: he'll craft top-tier concoctions and hand out small samples while you might need help deciding what to taste! He's original in his additions and gracious in customer service. Patient and humble, this man can fix you up anything and slam it. I am grateful I ran into this spot! I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff member I encountered was extremely rude to me for no reason. I was simply trying to support the local community by enjoying some good drinks, but she confronted me for not responding to her "Happy Sunday" greeting loudly enough. When I mentioned that I did respond, she accused me of taking her joke too far. It felt completely unnecessary, and if they’d rather I leave, they should just say so.
