Devonshire Fell - Réservation de table

Stayed here with our Springer Spaniel Lilly. We had such a warm welcome Lilly was fussed over lots. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who went over and above to ensure you had everything you needed. Service for breakfast and evening meal which we ate in the conservatory with Lilly accompanying us was very attentive again nothing too much trouble. Staff also brought her a cooked sausage every morning. My husband is allergic to red meat and staff made sure that chef was aware when it came to meal times. We also booked afternoon tea to celebrate hubby's 60th again food absolutely amazing staff again so attentive but not over bearing. Great to be able to walk Lilly on grass area at side...

I went to this restaurant for afternoon tea as a birthday treat, but I was very disappointed with what was served to us. The first tier had three unappetizing dried finger sandwiches. The second tier had a tiny piece of quiche, a sausage roll, and a small savory roll with lettuce in the middle. The top tier had a rock hard scone, a sad macaroon, a small biscuit, a tiny lemon tartlet, none of which looked appetizing. The jam and cream for the scone were okay, but the accompanying glass of ‘Bubbles’ was like carbonated water. The presentation was poor and it definitely did not feel like value for money. Luckily, the view outside was beautiful.

I was eagerly anticipating our Sunday lunch visit for a special birthday celebration and had high hopes. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. The only highlight was the friendly and attentive young lady who greeted us and took care of everything on her own, despite being understaffed. However, the lack of atmosphere, higher prices than advertised on the website, limited menu options, expensive drinks, and added service charge were disappointing factors that ultimately led us to leave without dining. It's a shame as we had been looking forward to our visit.

Lovely looking restaurant with great views. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The bacon chop and broccoli was ok, but the reheated potatoes weren't nice. The pea and pasta also reportedly a disappointment. The gnocchi and chicken were good. Pork dish also reportedly not great. £9 for 3 ice-cream scoops! I wouldn't recommend the food, there's better down the road. Réservez une table maintenant

Expensive fine dining experience but limited menu with little choice for vegetarians. Be careful if you have any food allergies also as they do not ask and difficult to know what is included. A bit pretentious, the chef should widen the choice and provide more simple food dishes, especially for the older clients who frequent the hotel.

A family celebration to celebrate my partners aunts 90th Birthday. I was very well catered for as a coeliac, with a delicious meal. My partners non GF tea was also nice apparently. Very nicely presented and would visit again any time!

I had a fantastic afternoon tea with friends at this restaurant. The staff was very accommodating and provided great service from the booking process all the way to serving us. It was definitely worth the visit.

We had dinner and breakfast and both were absolutely delicious. Pleasant surroundings and great staff. It’s a fixed price 3 course menu with items which suited us both. Réservez une table maintenant

We stayed here one night. Amazing Food best meal we have had for years. Open to non residents as well so we shall be back for an afternoon tea

Lovely presentation and attentive staff. However the menu itself was disappointing even though it was a fixed menu over the Christmas season.
